For this year’s Easter service, Felipe looked at the connection between the cross and the resurrection. We tend to be quite good at explain the meaning of the cross and the resurrection independently of each other, but it’s much harder to come across a holistic answer for them as a package. Why was Jesus raised after dying? And why did Jesus have to die before being exalted and glorified? We explore the answers in 1 Corinthians and Philippians, and discover that the pathway to glory and life is humility and death.
